R. EMMETT TYRRELL, Editor-in-Chief
R. Emmett Tyrrell, Jr., is founder and editor in chief of The American Spectator. His books include the New York Times bestseller Boy Clinton; The Impeachment of William Jefferson Clinton; The Liberal Crack-Up; The Conservative Crack-Up; Public Nuisances; and The Future that Doesn't Work: Social Democracy's Failure in Britain. A nationally syndicated columnist, his articles have appeared in the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Los Angeles Times, Baltimore Sun, Washington Times, National Review, Harper's, Commentary, The (London) Spectator, Le Figaro (Paris), The Guardian, The Sunday Telegraph, and elsewhere. He is also an adjunct fellow of the Hudson Institute and a contributing editor to the New York Sun.

ALFRED S. REGNERY, Publisher
Alfred Regnery has been with The American Spectator since May 2003. He previously served as President and Publisher of Regnery Publishing, Inc., book publishers, for nearly 20 years, during which time he published 22 New York Times bestsellers. Mr. Regnery is a lawyer as well as publisher, served in the Justice Department during the Reagan Administration, has worked on the U.S. Senate Staff, and has been in private law practice both in Washington, D.C. and the Midwest.

WLADYSLAW PLESZCZYNSKI, Editorial Director
Wlady Pleszczynski is Editorial Director of The American Spectator. He received a B.A. in history from the University of California at Santa Barbara in 1971 and a M.A. and additional graduate work in Russian and East European history at Indiana University from 1973 - 1978. He has worked at The American Spectator since 1980, serving as Managing Editor from 1980 - 1995 and Executive Editor from 1995 - 2004. His articles and reviews have been published in The American Spectator, National Review, Wall Street Journal, and the Weekly Standard. A recent distinguished visiting fellow at the Hoover Institution, he edited Our Brave New World: Essays on the Impact of September 11 (Hoover Institution Press).

J. PETER FREIRE, Managing Editor
J. Peter Freire is the Managing Editor of The American Spectator. Freire first came to the Spectator as an intern and editorial assistant under a journalism fellowship from the Intercollegiate Studies Institute. Since then, he has written for the New York Times, Reason, and Human Events. Prior to returning to The American Spectator, he was editor of Brainwash, an online journal of opinion from America's Future Foundation, worked for the Evans-Novak Political Report, and researched for New York Times op-ed page columnist John Tierney. Freire studied English Renaissance literature and political science at Cornell University, where he served as senior editor and columnist to the Cornell Review.

W. JAMES ANTLE III, Associate Editor
W. James Antle III is associate editor of The American Spectator and Program Manager for its Young Journalism Training Program. Previously, he worked for nearly three years as senior writer for The American Conservative, a D.C.-based biweekly magazine. Antle has more than seven year's online journalism experience and has served as an editorial advisor for the web magazine Enter Stage Right since January 2000. His work has also appeared in the D.C. Examiner, the Washington Times, the Dallas Morning News, the Politico, the Guardian, Reason, National Review Online. Originally from the Boston area, Antle attended Ohio Wesleyan University, where he was editor of the conservative publication Stand Firm and columnist for The Transcript.

PHILIP KLEIN, Reporter
Philip Klein is a reporter for The American Spectator. Previously, he worked for more than three years as a journalist for Reuters, where he covered financial news. His writing has appeared in the Los Angeles Times, the Chicago Sun-Times, the Philadelphia Inquirer, the Dallas Morning News, and the Atlanta-Journal Constitution as well as other websites and overseas newspapers. Klein holds a master’s degree from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism and bachelor’s degrees in history and economics from George Washington University.
